About Us

"Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom." - Aristotle
Atypical Minds is a psychological therapy and assessment service that focuses on working with individuals with Giftedness, ADHD, and Autism. We use a neurodiversity-affirming approach and Dr Ross Greene's Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS), taking into account the clients' needs and opinions, and working with their support network where possible to ensure a holistic and sustainable empowerment and change. Our services are available for children, adolescents, young adults and their parents.

Our Story
With my experience working in Montessori and mainstream schools, as well as my personal journey with giftedness and neurodivergence, I have developed a strong passion for empowering others to thrive in life and hopefully feel a sense of contentment. As a psychologist, I hope to help individuals going through similar experiences learn about their innate strengths, vulnerabilities and needs, and the skills to set healthy boundaries in their relationships and friendships.
Meet The Team
Hello
Thank you for visiting Atypical Minds. As a psychologist, I am dedicated to providing neurodiversity-affirming and effective therapy to individuals with neurodivergence. Having focused on the education and disability sectors over the past 8 years, my passion lies in supporting individuals with giftedness, autism, and/or ADHD. I also work with people who have experienced complex trauma by supporting them to learn ways to identify behaviour patterns in their relationships and navigate those relationships. In the past, I volunteered with Lifeline as a Crisis Supporter and facilitated an ADHD Support Group, which I hope I will get to do again someday. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Through a personalised approach, I aim to provide a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions, and to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. My goal is to help you embrace your atypical mind and thrive in all aspects of life.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and friends, reading, completing LEGO sets, gaming, baking and running.

Psychologist
Hi
Atypical Minds is very fortunate to have Laili running our social media accounts as she usually lectures in physics and is an A-level external assessor. She has over a decade of experience working with tertiary students in supporting their mental well-being and managing their personal and academic stressors while preparing for further studies. Laili herself is in the process of obtaining her PhD in Physics. Career-wise, Laili has held the positions of Head of the A-Level Programmes and Interim Director at the College she works at. Despite her many obligations, Laili's interest in mental health led her to take up the mantle of being our social media manager, of which we are absolutely grateful!
Laili's self-care includes travelling (photo in Thailand), working out at the gym, watching Korean dramas (she speaks the language too!), and cooking for family and friends.
